Humidity
Most orchids grow best with humidity in the range of 50% - 80%, but most homes are much drier.
Maintaining high humidity in greenhouse or a basement grow room is not difficult to do, but
what can you do when your orchids are in normal living spaces? Here are a few suggestions:
- Set your orchids on top of evaporation trays containing pebbles and water. But don’t let the pots sit in the water.
- Mist Plants early in the day to allow them to dry off before night
- Group you plants together to create a microclimate. Make sure the orchids are spaced to allow the air to circulate.
